It all started in a bowling alley, the Merri-bowl by 5 mile and Merriman to be exact. Anyways, a drivers ed program was being run down there by the police. Despite how exotic and exciting the program was, people just seemed to talk amongst themselves. Tyler Grohoski asked a peer in the class, Heather Huber, if she would be interested in starting a ska band. She agreed, and they went off to start a band and they went platinum in a few months. Ah, if only things were that easy.

Now, just about anywhere its hard to start a band, let alone a ska band. And Pseudo Strike would be the first ska band coming out directly from Livonia in awhile. But the original members went for it anyways. The original line-up of July 2004 included Tyler on vocals, Heather on guitar, Jade Dunn on drums, and Alex Marowsky on bass. But whats a ska band with out the horns? Well, a ska band without horns, but thats not what they were shooting for. So, they had two short-lived horn players. Aaron on the saxophone and Nicole on trombone.

After Nicole left for undisclosed reasons, there was a need for a new trombone. Here enters Andrew Schultz in September of 2004. Around the same time Heather and Aaron left the band. Heather left because of lack of interest in playing in a band, but she oddly enough formed another ska band a week later. At this time Pseudo Strike had run into a severe road block. Practices came to a halt without a guitarist.

With death seeming almost certain, Pseudo Strike charged forward in January 2005 full force. Pseudo Strike inducted three new members in early January: Trevor Redford on bass, Matt Konopacki on guitar, and Craig Gossman on trumpet. Practices went strong, and much got done. Pseudo Strike was working harder than ever. And after playing their first show, they decided to add Stephanie Sinclair to help rock out on guitar. And after this talented girl joined, they knew that the lineup was complete (or was it?). But there was work to be done. Booking shows, contacting bands, passing out flyers, and of course, pumping out songs that were so hot, they were illegal in some states.

In Spring 2005, Pseudo Strike felt like something was missing in life. Pseudo Strike wandered the world looking for it's missing desire. Then, they stumbled upon what they were yearning for...more people! Tom Miller (Trumpet) was enlisted into the Pseudo Strike roster in it's forever ongoing war of rocking the underpants off everybody.

In September 2005, Jade was no longer in Pseudo Strike, and Tom left soon after for educational conflicts. We could go into more detail on this, but it really isn't necessary. Luckily, they found a new drummer named Ricky (Oh Ricky, he's so fine, he blows my mind, hey Ricky! Hey Ricky!), and Matt decided to switch over to Saxophone for some songs, while still rockin' the guitar on others.

Pseudo Strike has had the privilege of sharing the stage with local talent such as: Downtown Brown, Monkey Jacket, The Skafia, Designed by You, The Millionaire's Club, We are the Union, Vatican Roulette (formerly called The Hot N' Sweatys), The Second Story, 45 cents, and the Hot Flashez. They also have had the privilege to play with several national touring bands: The Independents, The Briggs(Side One Dummy), Bolth, The Know How (Stomp Records), Bomb the Music Industry, and Mike Park (Owner of Asian Man Records, ex: Skankin' Pickle)
